Break the warranty into parts

Read beyond the headline

The cover may use several different clocks

Structure

Shell and frame

Structural cover may differ from the acrylic or surface-finish term.

Systems

Plumbing and equipment

Pumps, heaters, controls, seals and pipework can have separate periods.

Visit

Labour and call-outs

Parts cover does not always mean every journey, diagnosis or labour charge is included.

Extras

Cover and accessories

Covers, steps, audio and optional accessories may follow shorter or separate terms.

02

Name the company that provides aftercare

The retailer, manufacturer, distributor and visiting engineer may be different organisations. Ask who accepts the first report, who decides whether the fault is covered and who attends your postcode.

Read the dealer versus installer guide to map the full chain.

Questions to put in writing

Buyer checklist

Before accepting the warranty

  • Which warranty document applies to this exact model and serial number?
  • Which parts have shorter cover than the headline term?
  • Are diagnosis, travel, labour and lifting included?
  • What maintenance records and water-balance evidence must I keep?
  • Who supports the warranty if the selling dealer stops trading?
  • What are the current routine service and non-warranty call-out prices?
04

Compare aftercare as part of the purchase price

Record service coverage, expected response, parts availability and travel charges beside the product price. A locally supported tub can be more useful than a cheaper model with an unclear repair route. Use the service and repair directory to see which specialists publish support in your area.
