Will the hot tub fit through?

Measurements look workable

Width clearance+10 cm
Height clearance+10 cm

Measure every opening and the space needed to turn.

Photograph the route from the road to the final base.

Keep the equipment panels accessible after installation.

Get written delivery approval before the delivery date.

A positive measurement does not guarantee delivery. The supplier must approve the complete route, handling method, ground conditions and any lift.

Measure the delivery position, not just the spa

Hot tubs are commonly moved on their side using a specialist trolley or spa dolly. The relevant width and height can therefore differ from the installed footprint. Ask the supplier for the minimum clear opening for the exact packaged model and their delivery equipment.

Why a site survey still matters

BISHTA advises buyers not to purchase when a company will not undertake a site survey. The complete route matters, including turns, steps, ground conditions, overhead cables, road access and the room needed to manoeuvre. In some cases specialist lifting equipment is required.
